Malcolm C. Miller is in his second stint as head coach at Noxubee Co. High. Miller’s coaching experience spans over a 25-year period.  He became head football coach at Noxubee County High School in July 1995 after 8 years at Louisville High School, and 8 previous years at Noxubee where he served as head coach.

From 1979-87, Miller became the Head coach at Noxubee and coached defensive side of the ball until 1987.  He left Noxubee after the '87 season and moved into a defensive coordinator position coaching linebackers and working as a track coach at Louisville High School in Louisville, MS. As a Louisville assistant, Miller won two Class 4A state titles (1991, 1993).  He continued to work at Louisville the next eight years, serving as the defensive coordinator, linebacker coach and Head Track coach.

Noxubee Co. High in Macon, MS lured Miller away from his town and many loved ones at Louisville High in 1995 to serve as head football coach.

Miller's stay at Noxubee has lasted 11 years.  He returned to Noxubee in 1995 to revive a team who had seemed to lose its tradition since his departure as head coach.  Miller moved right into the head football coaching position at Noxubee in 1995, without having been a head coach in eight years.  In what was supposed to be a three-year plan to turn the program around Miller exceeded his plan. In his first year as head coach, Miller guided the Tigers to a 2-9 record, more wins than the previous two seasons.  By the third year the tigers posted an 8-2. Since Miller’s second season in 1996 Noxubee has had only one losing season (3-8,1999).

 
During his tenure at Noxubee and Louisville, Miller coached teams who sent over ten players to the National and Canadian Football leagues.  Some of the noteworthy players who were drafted or signed as free-agent are as follows: Bo Lewis (CFL), Darion Conner (Atlanta Falcon, 2^nd Round), Buster Barnett (Buffalo Bills), Chris Jones (Minnesota Vikings).

Under Miller's leadership, the Tigers of Noxubee are 79-48 in eleven seasons, capturing four divisional championships- 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.  He has also taken his Tigers into the post season six straight years (2000, 2001, 2002,2003, 2004,2005), advancing to the North Half twice. 

 The Tigers led the MSHSAA (4A) in both scoring offense and yardage in 2001 and 2002.

Miller is a graduate of Alcorn State University('70-'73) of Lorman, MS. After attending college at Wiley College (Dallas, TX) in '68 under a baseball scholarship it was his choice to home back in 1970. Miller managed to play one season at ASU due to his focus on his studies.

Miller is affiliated with the New Zion M.B. Church and is a member of the American Football Coaches Association and Mississippi Association of Coaches.

He was born in Louisville, MS., Miller and his wife Patricia are the parents of eight children: Lashonda, Philicia, Annette, Malcolm Jr., Katina, Montez, Tremond, and Cornelious.
